This the lower strength phase of this plan concentrates much more on your ability to be able to lift heavier quite simply.
With strength training comes a whole bunch of different adaption that you may not get from hypertrophy. They complement each other very well and allow for brilliant progress this is a very simple form or periodisation.
Strength training allows for more neural adaptions, so your brain will become better at innervating motor units and recruiting more muscle fibres in a specific exercise which means you will get stronger. That carries over to your hypertrophy days because you will be able to use heavier weights and use more muscle fibres.
This strength session concentrate much more on multi joint (compound) exercises like squats and dead lifts, these are probably the 2 most important exercises in the gym. They work a huge amount of muscles, they make think about and use correct movement patterns & they are spinally loading. This means they can help increase you androgen (anabolic hormone) output favourably. These compound exercises also make you much more aware of your body and what muscles may be weak, strong or tight.
This plan is ideal to become stronger, move better & become more aware of your body & what it needs to become more complete and stronger!
