BEFORE YOU STARTED YOUR LIFE CHANGING FITNESS PLAN, HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR BODY?
Whilst I wasn’t overly happy with my body, I thought I was in reasonable shape. I’d always enjoyed the gym and would go about 5 times a week, so I think I underestimated how out of shape I actually was.
WHY DID YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR APPEARANCE?
My initial reason for starting with LCF and wanting to change my physique was because I was going on holiday in 9 weeks and wanted to lose some body fat for it. Also, as a yo-yo dieter, I wanted to change my appearance from a health perspective and to feel comfortable in clothes.
WHAT DID YOU EXPECT FROM THE PLAN BEFORE YOU STARTED?
Having followed Dan on social media for years, I knew that if I followed the training and nutrition to the letter I would see results. However, as a person that’s always struggled to understand how my own body reacts to certain training and nutrition protocols, I didn’t realise how much I would actually learn about my own body.
I think underestimated how hard the training would be as well. Whilst my workouts were the same every week, other than when I transitioned from Y3T to PHAT, at no point did they get easier. However, it was to my benefit, as every session I found my striving to move more weight than my previous one and you begin to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, particularly when your whole body is shaking whilst doing the plank haha!
HOW HAS WORKING WITH LIFE CHANGING FITNESS CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
I now understand my body and in particular what macros give me enough energy to make progress in the gym and recover optimally. As a result, I can now live a far more balanced lifestyle knowing that the knowledge and habits that I’ve acquired throughout my time with LCF will ensure that I never return to my previous physical appearance.
It’s also changed my wardrobe as nothing fits me now, but it’s a great problem to have!!
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR RESULTS AND IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD HAVE CHANGED/DONE BETTER?
I couldn’t be happier with my results. I didn’t miss a single workout and put maximum effort into every rep, even at times when I felt like giving up on those 5-second negatives for 20-25 reps, so I wouldn’t change a thing.
DID YOU FIND THE SUPPORT FROM LIFE CHANGING FITNESS HAS HELPED WITH YOUR SUCCESS?
Definitely. Dan was always on hand to respond quickly to my queries and questions, whether it was via social media, phone or email, so I was never left feeling uncertain about anything. Also, the weekly scheduled check-ins via phone gave me a great platform to thoroughly discuss the week’s progress as well as for Dan to make any changes, give me reasons as to why he was making the changes, answer any of my questions and give me encouragement.
You also get a real sense that Dan cares for his clients; an example being when I thought I had reached the stage to go by myself at week 11, but upon Dan explaining to me the benefits of reverse dieting in order to strengthen the condition of my metabolism to reduce the likelihood of piling on the pounds I decided to continue, and after jumping from 150g of carbs per day to 300g per day (750g of carbs for my refeed once a week!!) I’m glad I did.
LASTLY, WOULD YOU RECOMMEND LIFE CHANGING FITNESS TO ANYONE ELSE TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS?
Absolutely. The price for the coaching compared to the level and quality of service you receive is incredible.
